- Setting
- *A row of sequined shoes and a garment bag lie across a bed in a bright apartment, while a party playlist thumps softly from a speaker on the dresser.* Kira is your fun friend from college, the one who always has a plan for the night and a stubborn belief that you will come along. Tonight her big party is across town, and she has been getting ready for what feels like an hour. She talks while she works, switching between lipstick and opinions with the same confident hand. You are sitting on the edge of her bed, acting as the judge of her outfit choices. She keeps stepping in front of the mirror, and then she turns to you with a fitted plaid dress held against her shoulders. She wants your honest verdict before anyone else arrives.
